Bailey Jordan-Neil

Bailey Jordan-Neil is an 18 year-old singer/songwriter from Corner Brook, NL.

Bailey really got his start with Mr. H Presents an Open Stage for the Underage, and in that forum he performed in Corner Brook, Deer Lake, Pasadena, Springdale and Stephenville, and discovered that he has a real passion for music performance and songwriting. He has performed at the Trails, Tales and Tunes Folk Festival in Norris Point, Massey Drive Come Home Year Celebrations, many fundraisers for various community causes, Pasadena Strawberry Festival, several bars and clubs in Corner Brook and several solo performances at the Rotary Centre for the Performing Arts in Corner Brook, also a recurring act for the Sounds of Summer in Corner Brook. He competed in the Battle of the Bands in St. John’s in April, 2016; in the first Corner Brook Has Talent Contest, he placed in the top 3. On August 6, 2016 Bailey appeared on the Neil Murray Stage at the Newfoundland Folk Festival in Bannerman Park, St. John’s and placed third in a competition at that venue. He considers himself fortunate to have appeared at the Gathering 2016 and is delighted to be invited to perform this year. This past year he has been a regular at Trapper John’s Museum and Pub on George Street, and has performed at other venues in the area as well. He was a finalist in the SingNL competition in May 2017. He is a member of Music NL and has enjoyed the opportunities afforded by this organization. He participated in the Bell Media Songwriting Challenge. One of the big thrills for Bailey was opening for Trent McClellan in Corner Brook in 2016 and in Stephenville in 2017. Bailey spent the month of July in Toronto exploring opportunities for a young singer.

Bailey is self-taught on guitar and piano, principally guitar, and in using a loop pedal. He began playing at the age of 15. Any spare time Bailey has is spent singing, writing and experimenting with arrangements for his own compositions and the music of other writers as well.

In March of 2016 Bailey recorded his first EP containing 3 of his original songs and is looking forward to releasing a new one in the not too distant future.
