Chef Chris Chafe was born and raised in St. John’s, NL. and began his culinary career at the young age of 17. Since then Chris has gone on to work in some of St John’s and Edmonton’s top kitchens. Currently working as the executive chef at The Gypsy Tea Room and at evoo in the Courtyard in the historic Murray premises in downtown St. John’s. Chris is also a four time St. John’s gold medal plates medalist, was a competitor on Food Network Canada’s hit show Top Chef Canada, season 3, 2014 Roots Rants and Wars “King of Cod”, 2013 James Beard house presenter and 2015 CFCC Silver Spoon winner.
