Kyle was born and raised in St. John’s, NL. He graduated from Marine Cooking at the College of The North Atlantic in 2008. Kyle has worked in various restaurants in Newfoundland and Nova Scotia refining his culinary skills under many accomplished chefs. He has competed in multiple provincial and national culinary competitions on both an individual and team level winning multiple Gold & Silver medals for his efforts along the way. Kyle is one of the most unique culinary talents to appear in St. John’s in recent years, and recently opened his own Restaurant Fork in Witless Bay, NL with his partner Kayla O’Brien, who is a Red Seal Chef as well. At Fork, Kyle & Kayla utilize local farmed, foraged and caught ingredients to produce a modern dining experience that is ever changing and evolving.
