Roger Dewling is an honors graduate of the Culinary Arts program at Nova Scotia Community College and a Red Seal Chef. Roger has worked at some of the finest restaurants in Halifax, Nova Scotia before heading back to his roots in Newfoundland where he landed the position of Sous Chef at local restaurant Kildare Creative Cuisine and Executive Chef at Dustabellas Grill, St. Jude Hotel, Clarenville. Roger is also kept busy filling the demand for private catering in Clarenville with his catering business Feast – Rustic Newfoundland Fare. Roger has at the Bonavista Insititute for Culinary Tourism facilitating courses that bring together culture, tourism and culinary arts. Roger has taken another challenge by the roll of IA Instructor/Instructor for the cook program at the College of the North Atlantic in Bonavista. It’s been a busy year for Feast Catering consulting and organizing culinary events such as Eat The Hill, Roots Rants & Roars, Clarenville Winter Games and Power to Hope. Chef Dewling was a part of the second season of “Donut Showdown” on the Food Network finishing a close second. This past summer Chef Dewling took the opportunity to work at the Bonavista Social Club along side Owner and Chef Katie Hayes, learning the ropes of farm to table dining. Most recently, Chef Dewling was chosen as the lead chef for team #2 by Chef Roary MacPherson for the Culinary Roadshow “From This Rock” 2014, 2015. Chef Dewling is currently involved with culinary events, restaurant consulting and focused on his company, Feast Catering.
